We Empower

Vision
A world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Mission
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
Our Story
Founded in 1998 by community members who recognized the need for affordable housing, Habitat for Humanity of Island County has grown from a small community affiliate to a county-wide organization.
Through partnerships with businesses, churches, civic organizations, military service members, and community members, Island County Habitat has provided decent, affordable homeownership to more than 50 local families. Dozens of struggling homeowners have been able to safely remain in their homes because of the critical repairs performed by our dedicated staff and volunteers.
Support from the Island County Community is what fuels our efforts. Generosity in the form of monetary gifts, volunteer support at build sites and in the stores, donations of household items and furniture to our stores, and participation on our Board of Directors and committees are just some of the ways our community helps families in need of decent, affordable housing.
